East India is the eastern region of India. It comprises of the states of West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha. It also comprises of the Union Tterritories of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

 

 

West Bengal and Odisha are coastal areas located near the Bay of Bengal. While Bihar, Jharkhand, and Chhatisgarh are landlocked states.

The major cities in the east include Kolkata, Siliguri, Gaya, Patna, Ranchi, Dhanbad, Bhubaneshwar, and Cuttack.

Some of the famous dance forms of East India are Jhijhian Dance, Gambhira Dance, Gotipua, Baagh Naach or Tiger Dance.
