West Asia or Middle East is the westernmost subregion of Asia.

The Middle East is the name given to the area of land between the Red Sea and the Gulf, from Israel in the west to Iran in the east.

West Asia includes Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, UAE, and Yemen.

Saudi Arabia is the largest country in West Asia whereas Palestine is the smallest.

Most of the countries in this region are Islamic countries. All other religions are in minorities exception being Isreal which is Jewish majority.

Some of the areas in Western Asia receive very little or no rainfall, and can be subject to drought. But it also contains vast expanses of forest and fertile valleys. The region consists of grasslands, rangelands (land that can be grazed by animals), deserts, and mountains.

Arabian Oryx, Arabian leapord and Camels are some of the animals which can be found in this region.
