History
Toyota’s name originated from the family name of its founder, Kiichiro Toyoda.
He founded it in 1937, as a subsidiary of his father’s company Toyota Industries to produce automobiles.
In 1957, the company entered the US market which was the 1st export of Japanese passenger cars to the U.S.
During the 1960s and ’70s, the company expanded↔ at a rapid rate and began exporting large numbers of automobiles to other foreign markets too.
