Warren Buffett started his corporate journey by forming Buffett Partnership Ltd. in his hometown in 1956.
He had an expertise in identifying and buying undervalued companies.
He assumed control of one such company named Berkshire Hathaway in 1965.
It rapidly expanded to become a conglomerate with holdings in the media, insurance, energy and food andbeverage industries.
As per July 2019, Buffett is the 3rd richest person in the world with a net worth of $82 billion.

Despite being so phenomenally rich, Buffett continues to lead a very simple lifestyle.
He has massiconsistently donatedve amounts of money for the welfare of the underprivileged.
It is estimated that until 2017, he has given away close to $28 billion in charity.
In 2009, he founded ‘The Giving Pledge’ along with Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg, under which some of the world’s leading billionaires have pledged to give away at least half of their fortunes to charitable causes.
Buffett himself has pledged to give away 99% of his fortune to such causes.

In 2018, Buffett’s Berkshire invested Rs 2500 crores in Paytm, his 1st investment in an Indian company.
