The Eiffel Tower, situated in Paris, France,🇫🇷 was originally built as the entrance arch for the World’s Fair in 1889. It is named after Gustave Eiffel, the architect of the tower. Gustav Eiffel has also worked on the Statue of Liberty.🗽

Each night, 20,000 light bulbs light up the tower. Sometimes there are special light shows, too. Must be beautiful!!!😍

The Eiffel tower has 1,665 steps to get to the top. Luckily, there are also lifts!😁 Visitors can walk up the first two levels and take a lift to the third and final level.

If guests get hungry or thirsty while visiting the tower, they can try one of the tower’s restaurants, and enjoy beautiful views of the city as they eat🍲 and drink.

The tower is repainted every seven years. This takes 15 months and 60 tons of paint! It also takes 25 painters who paint the tower with paintbrushes. Yes, it’s all done by hand!!!😱

Fun Facts

👉 The tower has a nickname – The Iron Lady.

👉 In winters, the size of Eiffel towers reduces by 6 inches (15 centimeters). It even sways up to 2-3 inches in the wind.🍃

👉 The tower was only supposed to stand for 20 years, but because it is also used to transmit radio programs, it was allowed to stay!😎
