Samsung is tech giant widely known for its mobile phone and HD displays. It is multinational conglomerate with 81 years of history and it was established on March 1, 1938 by Lee Byung-chul. It is based out of South Korea and headquartered in Samsung Town, Seoul.

The respective organization started its business with forty employees as a trading company. It was named as Samsung Sanghoe and started dealing in dried fish, locally-grown groceries and noodles. Before entering to its electronics space the tech-giant worked in different zones such as food processing, textiles, insurance, securities and retail for almost three decades.

Samsung made its debut in electronics industry in late 1960s and is continuing so far. It also started working in other areas like construction and shipbuilding industries in the mid-1970s.

Samsung holds a major part of GDP of its country of origin. It is also considered as a major factor for the “Miracle on the Han River”. The term refers to the rapid economic growth in the South Korea that led South Korea towards its transformation into developed country from a developing country after Korean War (1950–1953).
